Student may submit one photo in each of the following categories:
Best Feature Photo: A picture of a ‘found situation’ that features strong human interest element, or a fresh view of an everyday scene. A picture that uses humor or focuses on the lighter side of life is well suited for this category.
Best News Photo: Photo of organized events such as general meetings, promotional events and staged coverage opportunities. OR an event where the photographer does not have the time to plan, but must react on instinct, adrenaline, and news judgment.
If your photo is an image of a person, you will need to submit a photo consent form along with your entry
(If the photo is picked as the winning entry, Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. will need the photo in digital format to print in the NIE Week tab.)
