Entry ballots must include full name, address, telephone number, signature and email address, or they will be discarded. Be very specific. If we don’t know who you are voting for, we can’t count your vote.

Contest Rules: Readers may vote for any Lancaster County business or professional of their choosing. Most categories are limited to locally-owned or operated businesses. Entry ballots must include: full name, address, telephone number, and signature or the ballot will be discarded without being counted or entered in the $200 drawing. Entry ballots must be filled out by the voter. No purchase necessary. You must use the ballot forms that appear in the Sunday News on June 5 and the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era on June 6, 7, 8 and 9 or a reasonably accurate facsimile drawn by hand. It is not necessary to purchase a newspaper to enter the contest. A copy of our newspapers may be found at local public libraries. Machine duplicated, photocopied or faxed ballots are invalid. Limit one entry per person for the run of the contest. A $200 drawing will be made from all eligible entries received and a winner will be contacted. A “favorite” must be chosen in at least 10 of the “Readers’ Choice” categories or the ballot will be discarded. Lancaster Newspapers reserves the right to discard any suspicious ballot(s) for any reason. Entries must be received by Friday, June 17, 2011. Lancaster Newspapers employees and families are not eligible for the $200 drawing, but may vote for their favorites in accordance with aforementioned contest rules. Winners and runners-up will be announced in a special section in the Sunday News on August 28, 2011.
