Contest Rules: Readers may vote for any Lancaster County business or professional of their choosing. Most categories are limited to locally-owned or operated businesses. Entry ballots must include: full name, address, telephone number, signature, and email address, or the ballot will be discarded without being counted or entered in the $200 drawing. Entry ballots must be filled out by the voter. No purchase necessary. Ballots may either be submitted online or by using the ballot forms that appear in the Sunday News on June 7 and the Lancaster Intelligence Journal or Lancaster New Era on June 8, 9, 10, and 11 or a reasonably accurate facsimile drawn by hand. Voters submitting ballots online will receive a confirmation email that must be responded to in order for their ballot to be counted. It is not necessary to purchase a newspaper to enter the contest. A copy of our newspapers may be found at local public libraries. Machine duplicated, photocopied or faxed ballots are invaled. Limit one entry per person for the run of the contest. A $200 drawing will be made from all eligible entries received and a winner will be contacted. A “favorite” must be chosen in at least 10 of the “Readers’ Choice” categories or the ballot will be discarded. Lancaster Newspapers reserves the right to discard any suspicious ballot(s) for any reason. Entries must be received by Friday, June 18, 2010. Online voting will close at midnight.
